Desserts time..

Gulab Jamuns... mouth watering jamuns rite. Tried out once.. came out well.

Jamuns
Milk - 3 cups
Maida - 2-3 tablespoon

Boil milk in low flame until it reduces to say 1/5th, ie it thickens. Remove from the flame. Add maida and mix gently. This should make dough. Do not knead the dough well. Beware this takes a lot of time. Why take all these trouble :D. Buy a ready made mix and make as per instructions. simple naa..

After the dough is done, leave it for 5 mins. Make round small balls. Fry the balls in hot oil at low flame to get the golden brown color. As the jamuns get cooked, they rise to the surface. Soak these balls in hot sugar syrup.

Sugar syrup -
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Dissolve sugar in water and boil for 5 mins.

Tips : If you want the jamuns to be softer, add the jamuns to syrup and let it boil for 2 mins.
